CamboTown is a Free Classified Ads Marketplace service. Our mission is to help people discover classified ad listings posted across hundreds of different platforms and communities.

We’re working on making it easy and safe for users and local businesses to find and keep track of classified ad listings, communicate with each other, advertise, buy, sell, rent, and use local services.

We offer a wide range of categories and subcategories to choose from, including merchandise, vehicles, real estate, jobs, services, garage sales, community announcements, and more.

We operate in the United States and Cambodia, and we’re planning to expand to other countries.

Is this a free service?

Yes! We are a free service. We do not charge a fee for posting listings on our platform or take a percentage of users’ sales.

We do offer optional premium features such as Premium Listings and Verified Accounts for small businesses and individuals.

Can I post my stuff here?

Absolutely! You’re welcome to post almost anything here.

We offer 7 main categories for posting ads.

The Post Ad button at the top is a good place to start.

Not sure which category fits best? Leave it empty. Our Friendly AI and team of community moderators will place your listing in the right category for you.

Can I post a business listing?

Yes! It’s free!

You’re welcome to post as a local service provider. You can also list items from your inventory.

You can always add Premium Features later to help your listings get extra attention.

Is it free to post a job listing?

Yes, job listings are free.

You can add Premium Features to your job listings to help them get extra coverage.

How can I make my listings stand out?

There are a few things you can do to help your listings get the attention they deserve:

• Be specific. Provide details such as pictures, price, and contact information. Detailed listings appear at the top and get more views.

• Check back often. This keeps your listings up-to-date. Every time you visit, we automatically repost your ads to the top.

• Try our premium service. Whether you run a small business or a big business, we can help your listings stand out and reach more people.

Can I post my listings in multiple locations?

We kindly ask you to post listings in the area where the item, service, job position, or property is physically located. This helps users find relevant listings based on their location preferences.

Many visitors search within a wide radius or nationwide, so your listing will still appear if it matches their preferences.

Can I repost my listings?

We automatically repost your listings every time you visit.

We may also check in with you from time to time to confirm your listings are up-to-date and let you know when they expire.

Can I use links in my listings?

Yes, but we currently limit this feature to Premium Business Listings to prevent spam.

Is there something I cannot post here?

My listing was rejected. What should I do?

No worries! Rejections are temporary and easy to fix.

When our system detects a possible violation of our Prohibited Content Policy, the listing is flagged for review. You will receive an email titled “Your Listing Was Rejected” with details about the issue and a link to submit an appeal.

After submitting an appeal, your listing is usually reinstated within minutes after review.

Buying and Selling

Contacting other users

Use the Contact button on a listing to message its owner.

• We will relay your inquiry to the seller and follow up to ensure they respond.

Using CamboTown’s Messaging System

When discussing a deal, we recommend using CamboTown’s built-in messaging system rather than contacting users directly through text or email.

Why?

• It’s private – We do not reveal your email address.

• It’s secure – We check messages for spam and suspicious behavior.

• It’s convenient – You receive email updates and can track when a message is read.

• It’s protected – We can assist you in case of disputes if the conversation occurs within our platform.

Making an Offer

1. How do I make an offer?

Use the Contact button on the listing page to start a conversation. Then, use the Make Offer button in the chat.

2. What happens after I make an offer?

The other user will receive a prompt to accept or decline your offer, and you’ll be notified of their response.

3. How many offers can I make?

You can make one offer at a time for a listing. If you make a new offer, the previous one becomes invalid.

4. What is CamboTown’s role in offers?

CamboTown is a venue and does not enforce transactions. Buyers and sellers must handle agreements between themselves.

Preventing Fraud

We work diligently to verify the authenticity of listings and keep users safe. However, dealing with private parties online always carries some risks.

Here are some tips to stay safe on CamboTown:

• Use our messaging system. It helps protect your email and phone number.

• Meet in public. Choose a safe location like a coffee shop to complete transactions.

• Use secure payment methods. Avoid wiring money or paying in advance. Use licensed escrow services when necessary.

• Verify details. Confirm item conditions and seller identity before making a purchase.

• Stay informed. Learn about fraud prevention on consumer protection websites.

• Report suspicious activity. If you suspect fraud, report it to us immediately.
